Announcing Match Grant Results

Many answered the call to donate toward our match challenge from the William J. and Barbara A. Schmidt Family Foundation. With the help of our generous supporters we met our match grant goal of $50K!!

Because of your kindness, we are even closer to opening the doors at 1312 S. Monroe Street on the Sacred Heart Campus.

A “Big” Shout Out to Bassett Mechanical and some other good Match Grant news!

Some “big” stuff rolled onto COTS S. West Avenue campus on May 14! Our great friends at Bassett Mechanical coordinated the delivery and placement of a new chiller unit for the buildings.

Bassett stepped up to help bring our HVAC at these facilities up to modern efficiency and safety standards.
The chiller will help us to stabilize the air quality and temperature of the buildings. The update is essential to provide another critical component of quality healthcare at COTS.

The Partnership Community Health Center COTS Clinic, located in the 913 building, visits with many patients with a variety of health issues. HVAC improvements mean quality living and working environments. Bassett Mechanical’s work to update our system to modern standards makes them strong partners in our efforts to provide healthcare and stable housing.
And, to support our HVAC infrastructure needs, we are happy to announce the J. J. Keller Foundation board approved a $25,000 Matching Grant through the Jack J. and Ethel D. Keller Fund of the Community Foundation! Any donations you make toward this project DOUBLES your giving! Please send your matching gift to COTS, Inc., 819 S. Donating Wish List Items Makes a Difference!

Please consider donating items from our wish list.
We urgently need the following:
  • Dorm sized refrigerators – for residents’ medications
  • New Bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths
  • New Kitchen towels and dish cloths
  • New Twin sheet sets
  • Printer paper – for resident and staff work
When you provide these critical things for COTS, it helps us in two very important ways:
  1. We are able to spend more time providing residents with direct services
  2. We are able to use our dollars in other areas affecting residents’ progress.
