Ending Homelessness in the Fox Valley

Holiday Spirit Comes to COTS

Posted on Dec 21, 2016 by

The tinsel was hung, the trees were decorated, and the gifts were wrapped in preparation for our annual Christmas party. The Christmas spirit was in the air! Each year, our community astounds us with its generosity in ensuring that our residents have a special Christmas.

This year, several groups stepped forward to “adopt” our residents for Christmas: The Family’s Christmas Care, St. Mary Parish, JanSport, First Presbyterian Church Neenah, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the Green Bay Packers, The Home Depot, Stellar Blue, Bemis Company, Inc., Integrity Insurance, Mosaic Family Health, Sheila Vetrone and family, Hope United Church of Christ, and Steinhafel’s. In addition, Nurses PRN and Stellar Blue volunteered to help us wrap the gifts.

Avenue Jewelers held a special fundraiser in order to donate the funds to purchase the food for the Christmas party. The party featured a caroling contest, a raffle, delicious holiday family recipes prepared by our residents, and presents.

We cannot thank our community enough for their generosity and for embracing the true spirit of Christmas!
